What is SSO?

SSO, or Single Sign-On, is an authentication process that allows users to access multiple applications or systems with just one login credential (such as username and password).

Why use SSO?

  • Convenience: Users only need to remember one set of login credentials, reducing the hassle of managing multiple usernames and passwords.

  • Improved User Experience: SSO simplifies the login process, making it faster and easier for users to access the applications they need.

  • Improved Security: Although it may seem counterintuitive, SSO can improve security by reducing the number of passwords users need to remember. Additionally, centralized authentication allows for better access control and monitoring, reducing the risk of unauthorized access, which can be limited by time, work location, IP, etc.

  • Reduced IT Costs: With fewer password-related support requests, IT departments can save time and resources. Additionally, SSO can streamline the employee onboarding and offboarding process, further reducing administrative overhead.

  • Integration: SSO can be integrated with multiple authentication methods, including two-factor authentication (2FA) and biometric authentication, adding an extra layer of security.

SSO Configuration in Feedz

In the side menu, click on Settings.

On the next screen, click on Integrations and at the bottom of the page, find the SSO Login section.

Activate the integration and define the login method:

  • Log in with username and password (without SSO): Allows the user to access Feedz using SSO and standard email/CPF and password authentication.

  • Log in only through SSO: Allows the user to access Feedz only using SSO, i.e., blocks access through standard email/CPF and password authentication.

The next step is to Download the SSO configuration XML. This action will export the SSO configuration XML from Feedz, where this file will be used to import into your environment. Service provider ➡️Identity provider.

After completing the above process, export the SSO configuration XML file from your environment, which must be imported into Feedz, through the Upload Identity provider field.
Identity provider ➡️Service provider. After importing the file, click Save.

If you want to delete the data, just click the Clear Data button. To disable this type of access, change the activation flag at the beginning.

‼️Our SSO integration works via SAML2 protocol, and is only for user authentication, therefore, employee synchronization or information update is not available.

‼️Even if the identity provider is Google, Microsoft or Apple, if the configuration was SSO, the path to access is always Continue via SSO, on the login page.
